The various event types are offered for job families or as interdisciplinary programmes.
Lectures
Lectures explore broad-ranging yet well-substantiated scientific findings on issues of relevance to the Group. For the most part, the focus is on interdisciplinary contexts and business processes. The talk and the subsequent discussion give participants the opportunity to get to grips with current trends and their particular significance for Volkswagen. Events designed specifically for discussion allow topics to be examined from different angles.
Seminars
(only available in Volkswagen-Intranet)

Seminars are compact events dealing with the latest know-how on industry-specific topics. The objective here is to provide participants with a scientifically sound overview of the subject matter. Topics and problematic issues of relevance to the company are debated and consolidated together with external and internal experts in confidential surroundings. Here the goal is for participants to apply the practical solutions examined in the lectures and discussions to their own work.
Programme
(only available in Volkswagen-Intranet)

Programme unite up-to-the-minute applied scientific knowledge with the latest practical know-how and are developed in close collaboration with the departments. They have a duration of up to five months and are defined by the concept of blended learning, which combines participant attendance and distance learning. During the distance-learning phase, participants work on the AutoUniQUE Internet-based learning platform, which not only gives access to the electronic teaching materials, but also - and most importantly - serves as an interactive classroom. Even outside of the attendance phase, this is where participants and lecturers can keep in contact and continue working on the programme topics. Interaction within the group is a priority during the participant-attendance phase.
Cooperative study modules
In close collaboration with Volkswagen Group departments, AutoUni is preparing study modules in cooperation with universities.
Use will be made of existing contacts between universities, AutoUni and Group departments in order to develop essential training programmes in the company's interests.

Cooperative Study Modules will complement the existing job-family and interdisciplinary training courses aimed at systematic competence development from career-entry level to the senior specialist and managerial level.

As a matter of principle, participation in Cooperative Study Modules must benefit the company's interests and must be organised through the departments and Personnel.

Study modules offered during 2010 will examine e-traction and focus specifically on energy storage technologies and electric drives. Study modules on other topics are in preparation.
