Information technology plays a central role both in depicting and supporting company processes, for instance during the development and production of vehicles, and in the vehicle itself. For this reason, the committee of the Institute for Information Technology comprises representatives from Group IT, vehicle research and development and consultant scientists. Research into IT is advanced by the establishment and expansion of partnerships with universities and non-university research institutes, with the latest research findings feeding directly into corporate processes and vehicle projects. Further education programmes offered by the Institute will transfer new know-how into the Group, with participants benefiting from the cutting-edge expertise of academics and internal and external experts.
